From the Family

My Jordan~ I pray that you have found true peace. I pray that you have been welcomed by all who have gone before you. I pray that the joy and care and laughter that you gave to others is being given back to you tenfold. I pray that the concerns and worries you had here are forgotten. I pray that you now see how amazing you always were. I pray that you can still see and hear and feel every thought I have of you. And, I pray that you realize my love for you transcends this world and in His own time, we will be together again.

Thank you Big Heads, Holland for honoring Jordan and giving him a place to be surrounded by friends who loved him. I hope you always feel him there with you.

Dear Ice-Burgh, You were the funniest guy I know. Nothing was ever off the table, and your wit was unmatched. The quote book is full of your wise decrees. You knew how to make people instantly comfortable by saying something outlandish, getting everybody to laugh and ease the tension. I have memory after memory that include you, and that is because you brought people together. I know we weren't close recently, but I value my memories of you deeply because when you were around it was always a good time. You stood out Jordan. I hope GTA6 released early in the afterlife and you are in the middle of a gaming sesh, only stopping for a Jager Bomb every so often. All the best, I hope to see you again. - your friend, Joey

Jordan always lit up the room as soon as he walked in. He constantly put others first before himself. His light and energy will never be replicated. Even though he traveled through a very dark tunnel, I am most certain he found the light at the end of it. I will forever cherish our memories, and our friendship. Love you forever, Jordan.

Jordan, I wish I could tell you how much you meant to me and how much I loved you. I’ll always remember how you were the only person that could tutor me in math because I drove everyone else crazy. Those days were so important to me. You weren’t only the person that taught me equations but you became an outlet for me. We would go on drives to parks and would just walk around and you would let me talk about anything. Those days meant everything to me. I miss you so much and I love you so dearly.

I don’t think I’ll ever know the right words to say. Jordan, you are one of my closest and truest friends. There’s not one day that we didn’t share hundreds of voice messages and texts venting about life. My daughter knew that when you called, we would be on the phone for an hour and she would chime in. Through random park trips, getting food, Karaoke, and reading your tarots.. we always had a lot of fun. You always called me Hulia and yelled at me when I let boys treat me poorly. I really don’t know what I’m gonna do without you but I believe you’re always still here 🤍I hope you found peace and wish you knew how loved you truly were.

Jordan was a true mensch in heart and spirit. When the two of us would get together, we would talk for hours on end. We could literally talk about anything and everything. It ranged from the mundane to the most esoteric of thought. I enjoyed every second of it. But the thing I'll remember best about Jordan was how he made you feel. "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you make them feel"-Maya Angelou.

I Remember... I remember the day we learned that you'd be arriving, finally expanding the Burg family to 5! I remember the day you were born. I remember our weekly lunch and shopping trips that continued for years. I remember you helping us celebrate the arrival of our baby boy. I remember us surprisingly bumping into you at work- your smile and confident demeanor showed that you were in your element. I remember hearing the stories of you and your friend group- my heart was so happy for you. I will always love and remember you, Jordan!

Jordan showed me the meaning of a true friend, the kind that shows up on the good and the bad days, constantly checking in on everyone around him and telling us how much we meant to him. From the day I met him five years ago, he never stopped showing up. We shared a lot of laughs, some tears, and a lot of memories that I will forever cherish. He was one of my best friends. He had the biggest heart, and the world was a brighter place with him in it. Jordan will be forever missed. I’m very blessed to have shared the time I did with him, and I am forever grateful for that. Love you, kid❤️

Jordan was a great friend, he’s the kind of guy to give you the shirt off of his back. He always tried helping anyone who was close with him and never asked for any in return. We spoke everyday for the past 3-5 months. I’ll miss my friend and I hope he found peace.

If it wasn’t for Jordan I would have never met my husband, as he was the one who introduced us. He always reminded me as a big teddy bear that I could go to for advice whenever I needed it. He will be missed dearly.
